Mr C has finally had enough. He has moved the computer from the house to the farm office, insisting that I stop working all hours.

So, instead of tapping away on the keyboard, I have been bike riding with the little ones, potting on my houseplants and rescuing my dying tomato seedlings. If I carry on like this I might actually complete the metamorphosis from stress monkey to yummy mummy.

Flowering is gathering pace in the vineyard, with more buds emerging each day. This is the critical time for us; good weather over the next few weeks means a good harvest later on. So far, the fruiting potential this year is excellent. In fact we are having to remove Cheap Jordan Shoes some sprigs. Back in 2007 and 2008, we lost whole harvests to the dreadful rainy weather and prayed for fruit. I'd never have dreamed a couple of years later I'd be pruning it away. That's nature for you.

In the winery we are about to take delivery of our new gyropalette, all the way from Epernay in France. It's a fantastic gadget which gently shakes and turns hundreds of wine bottles at once. It's usually for making champagne - but in our case it's for methode champenoise cider and elderflower wine, and will double our production capacity. It will immediately be pressed into service, as we get 1,000 discount abercrombie bottles of sparkling elderflower wine ready for the Port Eliot Festival at St Germans, south east Cornwall on July 23. Salut!
